Policies
Booking with The Sails Motel direct or through any third-party booking platform signifies you will abide by the current Sails Motel terms & conditions.
Reservations are only confirmed when payment has been made and a valid credit card is on file for the duration of the stay. The Sails Motel reserves the right to cancel any reservations where credit cards are invalid, declined or payments have not been paid in accordance with current Sails Motel terms and conditions.
Payment
NON PEAK PERIODS
Full payment is collected 48 hours prior to arrival. Please note additional policies listed below for long stays, multiple room bookings and key dates.
PEAK PERIODS
Full payment is collected 7 days prior to your arrival.
*30 Day Policy applies from 23 December to 1 January.
FESTIVALS
Full payment is collected 30 days prior to your arrival.
LONG STAYS (4 nights or more)
Full Payment is collected 7 days prior to your arrival.
GROUPS (3 rooms or more) – APPROVAL REQUIRED
The Sails Motel does not allow group bookings. A group is considered any reservation of 3 or more rooms. Management reserves the right to cancel any group booking made online without prior approval. Approved bookings require payment in full collected 7 days prior to arrival.
For larger bookings subject to management approval, a 10% deposit is required at the time of booking and a 50% deposit is collected 1 month prior. One month cancellation policy applies. Final payment is due 7 days prior to arrival.
Peak Periods are: Public holidays, long weekends and all school holidays.
Festivals are: Bluesfest, Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival.
A Group Booking is: A reservation of 3 or more rooms.
A long stay is: A reservation 4 nights or more.
Cancellations
Any cancellations or modifications made inside payment windows results in forfeit of the total amount of the stay (refer to payment policies listed above for applicable payment windows for your stay). Applies also to no shows.
Credit cards
Accepted credit cards: Mastercard, Visa, AMEX.
A 2% surcharge applies.
The Sails Motel is not registered for Stay NSW Vouchers. Vouchers cannot be used at this property.
Identification
A current drivers licence or passport must be presented upon check-in.
Rates
Rates are subject to change.
Check in/out
Check in time is from 2pm
Check out time is 10am
Early check-ins/late check outs are subject to availability & must be arranged prior to arrival. Fees apply.
No smoking
The sails motel is a smoke free property in accordance with NSW legislation.
No smoking is allowed on the premises – $100 penalty applies to smoke affected rooms
No Party Policy
The Sails Motel has a strict no party policy. For the consideration of other guests, disruptive noise, excessive drinking or large gatherings will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to vacate/evict any guest or group displaying anti-social behaviour with no refunds considered.
Maximum Occupancy
In accordance with law and fire safety regulations, only the maximum designated number of occupants per room is permitted. Sleeping on the floor is strictly prohibited and additional people will be asked to leave.
Refusal of Entry
Management reserves the right to refuse entry based on prior behaviour or eviction from other accommodation providers.
Age Policy
Only guests 18 or over are permitted to reserve accommodation. Minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The Sails Motel does not accept Schoolies bookings and proof of age will be requested on check- in.
Location Hire/ Commercial photography
No commercial photography or filming is permitted without Management approval.
The Sails Motel is open for location hire at request. All enquiries must be submitted in advance to management and terms negotiated prior to arrival.
Pets
Pets are not permitted on the property. Additional cleaning charges will be applied if disregarded.
Lost Property
The Sails Motel assumes no responsibility for lost property. Items found after departure will be held for one week and then donated to charity. A minimum fee of $20 will be charged to return items.
Additional charges
Additional charges will be applied to the credit card on file for the following; breakages, damage to the property, missing items, late departure, lost keys and extra cleaning.
Lost key fee is $125.
Changes to the Service
The Sails Motel reserves the right to change or modify the booking, products, rates, services, and terms described at any time without notice and without liability.
